Kendal Co. Sheriff Plan Halloween Safety Patrols

Sheriff's deputies will be looking for impaired drivers and those without seat belts in the weeks around Halloween.

OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office will conduct special patrols around Halloween, seeking to ensure streets are safe for both pedestrians and drivers. The special patrols will last from Saturday through Nov. 3.

Special patrols will be looking for impaired drivers and those without seat belts, the sheriff's office announced. It is also asking the public to be safe around Halloween.

"The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is urging you to plan ahead for all of your Halloween parties and other festivities," Sheriff Dwight Baird said in a statement.
"Don't ever drive under the influence of alcohol or any drugs. Your choices could impact more than just yourself this season."
