Kendall County Coronavirus Update: 6 New Cases, 5 More Recoveries
The new cases reported come along with a similar number of people reporting recovery.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Health Department reported six new cases of coronavirus in the county Thursday night, along with the news that five previously-reported patients are in recovery. This brings the total number of cases thus far reported in Kendall County to 130, of whom 61 have entered recovery. There are still only three coronavirus-related deaths thus far reported in the county.
As of Friday morning, April 17, there were 25,733 total coronavirus cases reported in Illinois. This is about 3.8 percent of the total 671,493 cases thus far reported in the U.S., and about 1 percent of the 2,181,508 cases reported globally.
The county health department took time in its news release on the latest figures to remind pet owners to limit contact with their companion animals.

"Although there have not been reports of pets becoming sick with COVID-19 in the United States, it is still recommended that people sick with COVID-19 limit contact with animals. When possible, have a well member of the household care for animals," the release said.
