Kendall County Coronavirus Update: 8 New Cases; 8 Recoveries

The county announced eight new cases of coronavirus on Monday evening, and eight new recoveries

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — In news equal parts troubling and hopeful, the Kendall County Health Department announced late Monday evening that it had confirmed an additional eight cases of new coronavirus in the county, alongside eight recoveries. The new cases include four males in their 50s and 60s and four females between their 30s and 50s. Alongside the patients now reported recovered and the two confirmed coronavirus-related deaths, there have been a total of 60 confirmed coronavirus cases in the county.

At the latest count, there have been 12,264 confirmed coronavirus cases in Illinois, 368,533 cases in the country, and 1,363,365 cases globally.

To help slow the spread of the virus, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends people to wear cloth face coverings when going outside. This is especially important in high-traffic areas where social distancing is difficult, such as supermarkets. Visit the Kendall County Health Department website for more information on how to properly wear a face mask.
