  • Avoid a direct hand-off. Arrange to have the items delivered to your doorstep or a place nearby instead.
  • Pay electronically. One benefit of ordering deliveries online or via an app is that you don’t have to hand the delivery person money.
  • Order earlier than you usually do. You may find that in the midst of higher demand you have to wait longer, be prepared.
  • When shopping inside a store choose less crowded shopping times to ensure social distancing between yourself and all others in the store.
  • Allow enough time for your shopping, be patient with others, and avoid crowded isles.

The county health department also continues to urge people to stay home whenever possible and avoid social gatherings, even for the Easter holiday. Regularly washing hands and sanitizing high-use surfaces is also an effective means of protecting one's self, as is wearing a face mask in public where social distancing is difficult.
