Kendall County Coronavirus Update: 9 New Cases, More Recoveries
No new deaths reported today, but nine new cases.
OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Health Department announced nine new coronavirus cases in the county on Monday evening. More optimistically, they also announced that 11 more of the existing coronavirus patients in the county have entered recovery. This brings the county's current total of reported coronavirus cases to 149, and the number cases that have entered recovery to 87.
There have been four coronavirus-related deaths in the county thus far; part of the 1,349 deaths so far reported in Illinois and the 42,458 deaths reported in the U.S.
Kendall County residents are as always reminded to take steps to help slow or prevent the spread of coronavirus in their communities. This means staying home whenever possible and avoiding large social situations. It also means practicing social distancing when in public and wearing masks and gloves in spaces where social distancing is difficult, such as the supermarket. Regularly washing hands and sanitizing high-use surfaces is also a good way of slowing the virus' spread.
