Kendall County Coronavirus Update: One More Death Confirmed
The Kendall County Health Department confirmed that a woman in her 60s passed away from coronavirus on Tuesday.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Health Department confirmed one more new coronavirus death on Tuesday evening, along with 14 new cases. The deceased was a woman in her 60s. As of Tuesday evening, the county's total number of recorded cases stood at 163, and its total number of confirmed coronavirus-related deaths was five. Five more cases were also reported to have entered recovery; a total of 92.
As of Wednesday morning, there were 33,059 total cases confirmed in Illinois, part of the 825,306 cases reported in the U.S. In the U.S., there have so far been 45,075 coronavirus-related deaths and 75,673 confirmed recoveries.
Will County's reported number of coronavirus patients and fatalities has been low compared to that of neighboring Will and Kane Counties. As of Wednesday morning, Will County reported over 1,700 cases. Kane County, more than 680.

In order to keep Kendall County's number of cases relatively low, residents are urged to stay at home, avoid social gatherings, and practice social distancing in public. Residents are also reminded to wear a mask and gloves in places where social distancing is difficult, such as the supermarket, and to regularly wash hands and sanitize high use surfaces.
