Kendall County Coronavirus Update: One New Death Confirmed
The county health department reported the death of one county resident over the weekend, in addition to nine new cases.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Health Department reported sad news over the weekend; one more county resident has died from coronavirus. The deceased was a man in his 60s. The county also reported both a handful of new cases and an increase in the number of recoveries. As of April 18, there were 140 reported cases of coronavirus in the county, including 76 cases in recovery.
As of the morning of April 20, there were a reported 30,357 coronavirus cases in Illinois, among the 760,245 cases reported nationally and the 2,422,525 cases reported globally.
Amid the coronavirus crisis, the county health department urges all local residents to continue eating a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables. A diet rich in fruit can benefit both the immune system and one's mood. Fruits and vegetables should be washed as they would be normally, and hands should be washed both before and after handling food.
