Sheriff’s Office Investigates Possible Threat of School Violence
Kendall County, IL (March 15, 2022, 4:15 PM)
Deputies were made aware of a possible threat made toward students of Lisbon Grade School, in Lisbon, IL. An investigation began immediately and deputies responded to the school to ensure the safety of the students and staff. After speaking with numerous students, staff, and parents, no credible threat was determined to exist.
On the afternoon of March 14th, 2022, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the possible threat by administrators at Lisbon Grade School. The Sheriff’s Office worked in cooperation with the Lisbon Community Consolidated School District to thoroughly investigate the threat. As a result of the investigation, numerous people were spoken with to determine what occurred. It was discovered no threatening statements or comments were made towards any of the students or staff at the school. The investigation determined no credible threat exists to students or staff at Lisbon Grade School, and there has been no criminal activity identified in relation to this investigation.
