On behalf of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Oswego/Montgomery Planning Committee, I would like to say “Wow!”
Thanks to the loving support of our community, the Relay For Life of Oswego/Montgomery had 56 teams, 500 participants, 63 survivors and scores of caregivers celebrate and watch as over 250 Luminaria were lit to honor loved ones. In addition, we raised more than $96,500 to help in the fight against cancer.
It takes so many individuals to make Relay a success: we are grateful for the cancer survivors and caregivers who walked alongside us to inspire hope and strength; for our sponsors; Meijer, Rush Copely, WSPY 107.1, Daily Herald, Orchard Road Animal Hospital, Scoreboards Sports Pub, Wormley Real Estate and Insurance, River Heights Veterinary Clinic, Jacqueline’s Hair Salon, Heitkotter Inc., Oswego Community Bank, Caterpillar, Newsome Physical Therapy, Janna Misek—State Farm Insurance who through their generous support help make the event possible; and the amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure this event was a success. Relay For Life would not be possible without all of this effort and support!

If you missed this year’s Relay, but still want to make a donation, call the American Cancer Society at 630-879-9009 or hop online at www.relayforlifeosmo.com. We are collecting donations toward this year’s goal of $105,000 through Aug. 31! And, though it seems a long time from now, sign up a team or join the planning committee for 2012.
Continue to celebrate, remember and fight back!
