Man Charged With Multiple Car Burglaries in Kendall Co.: Sheriff
Edgar Aguirre, of Aurora, is facing multiple felony charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, police said.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — An Aurora man has been charged with multiple felonies following several car burglaries in Oswego and Bristol townships, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said.
Edgar Aguirre, 36, of the 700 block of Benton St. in Aurora, is facing multiple felony charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, four counts of burglary from a motor vehicle, and theft of over $500, police said.
On Tuesday at approximately 4:05 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a subject seen entering a car parked in the driveway of a residence in the 0-99 block of Hickory Lane in Oswego Township. The Sheriff’s Office received several additional reports of similar activity throughout the early morning hours and a description was obtained based on video.

Aguirre was observed by a deputy walking in the area and appeared consistent with the description that had been provided. The officer contacted Aguirre, and he agreed to speak further with deputies at the Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the investigation, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the charges listed above.
Aguirre is currently being held at the Kendall County Jail and is awaiting a bond hearing later Thursday.
