Man Found Near Oswego Park Died From Self-Inflicted Gunshot: Coroner
The man was found unresponsive in a wooded area and an autopsy conducted on Sunday showed he died from a single gunshot wound.
OSWEGO, IL — A man found in a wooded area near Jaycee Park on Saturday shot himself, according to the results of an autopsy that was conducted on Monday, the Kendall County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday.
The identity of the man is being withheld until his family can be notified and until a formal confirmation can be completed. Authorities are not releasing any more details, according to a news release.
Officers were called to the wooded area around noon on Saturday and found the man unresponsive, police said. Police said that they did not believe foul play to be involved in the man’s death.

A forensic autopsy conducted on Sunday showed that the man died from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound, Chief Deputy Levi Gotte said.
