New Oswego High School Principal Approved

Chris Grays has been approved as the Principal of Oswego High School for next school year, replacing Mike Wayne who is retiring in June.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education has approved Chris Grays as the Principal of Oswego High School for the 2020-2021 school year, replacing Mike Wayne who is retiring effective June 30, 2020.

Grays currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Homewood Flossmoor High School. From 2016-2019 he was an Assistant Principal at Oswego East High School. He has also worked as an Administrative Dean/School Counselor at Crete Monee High School.

Grays received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL; Master of Education, School and Clinical Counseling from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL; Ed.S- Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from National Louis University in Lisle, IL; and a Superintendent Certification/Endorsement from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.

Grays and his wife Jessica have four children ages 12-19. He enjoys spending time with his family and being active. “I am truly honored and excited to serve the students, families, and staff of Oswego High School, along with the surrounding community,” said Grays. “I look forward to continuing the rich tradition that has been well established at OHS, while enhancing the experiences of all.”

He serves as an advocate for students, supporting their educational and emotional needs, and is constantly striving to provide equitable opportunities for all. We know that he is a strong leader, who believes in continued transformation to advance the educational experience for students, staff and our community.”
