Obituary: Brittany Morgan Beallis

She will be remembered for her free spirit and an inner light that would brighten everyone and anyone's day.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Brittany Morgan Beallis

Age 19, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, due to complications of Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Brittany was born in Naperville on March 10, 2005 and resided in the Joliet, Plainfield and Oswego areas her whole life. She was currently attending Illinois State University, majoring in Nursing. Brittany graduated from Plainfield South High School with the class of 2023, in the top 5% of her class. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the track team. Brittany also attended Aux Sable Middle School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.

Her hobbies included ballet, tap and jazz, hanging out with friends, and listening to music, especially Taylor Swift and Lana Del Ray.

Brittany is survived by her father, Bob Beallis of Forrest Park; her mother, Julaine (Jeff) Cartwright of Joliet; her two sisters, Breanna (Nick) Cassidy of Joliet and Mackenzie Cartwright, also of Joliet; her paternal grandparents, Denny and Pam Beallis of Aurora; her boyfriend, Joe Hammen of Bloomington; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, beloved friends, and her fur babies, Lana the kitty, and her dogs, Wrigley and Bella.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Beverly “Bammy” Vota.

Brittany was a free spirit, always the life of the party. She was a foodie who loved her mom’s cooking. Her beautiful smile would light up any room and she enjoyed creating creative videos with her friends and sisters. Brittany was a bright light that burned out to soon.

Memorials in her name may be made in care of the family for a scholarship that will be established at a later date.

Visitation for Brittany Morgan Beallis will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 1-6 p.m. Interment will be held privately. Sharing of memories and funny stories will begin at 5 p.m. In honor of Brittany’s spirit, bright color attire is encouraged and appreciated.
