One More Coronavirus Case Confirmed In Kendall County

This bring's the county's total number of confirmed cases to five.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Health Department announced Wednesday, March 25 that an additional case of coronavirus had been confirmed in the county. The patient is a county resident; a man in his 50s. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the county to five, all of them over the age of 40.

The county health department, alongside numerous fire departments in the county, are continuing to urge all residents to stay home as the coronavirus crisis grows, and to practice social distancing at those times when leaving the house is unavoidable. Regularly washing hands and sanitizing high-use surfaces is also an effective way of limiting the virus' spread.

A real-time tracker of the coronavirus' spread is available online from John Hopkins University. According to that tracker, there are 1,537 confirmed coronavirus cases in Illinois and 16 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths as of late morning, March 25.
