OSWEGO, IL — State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, invites the public to drop in for a luncheon and discussion about how to stay safe online. The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Montgomery branch of the Oswego Public Library, located at 1111 Reading Dr. in Montgomery.
“Technology can make life easier for us and particularly independent seniors,” Kifowit said in a statement. “As we are using the internet more to keep in touch with family members, purchase products and look up health information, it’s important for everyone to be taking precautions to keep their personal information secure.”
Seniors, their family members and anyone interested in internet safety are invited to join Kifowit for lunch and a presentation about online safety tips. The event will feature guest speaker Felipe Serra, a digital forensics investigator. He is expected to share tips on how to protect one’s privacy and security online.
