Oswego Hosting Free Shredding Event Saturday
Bring up to three boxes of paper for shredding Saturday at First National Bank of Oswego.
OSWEGO, IL — Help protect against identity theft with a free paper shredding event in Oswego. The Oswego Police Department will host the shredding event Saturday at First National Bank of Oswego.
From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, residents can bring up to three large boxes full of paper for shredding to the bank at 6601 U.S. Route 34. Residents can also learn more about the threat of identity theft.
Gleaning personal information from mail and old bills is only one of the ways to have your identity stolen. Items that you may want to shred include: receipts, copies of credit card applications, insurance forms, physician statements, checks, bank statements and credit card offers that come in the mail.
