Oswego HS Gets Grant For 3D Printers From Retired Teachers Group
The Illinois Retired Teachers Association gave OWS a $598 grant to be used toward two 3D printers.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego High School has received a grant to go towards buying two 3D printers. The Illinois Retired Teachers Association gave the school's science department a $598 check to be used for the department.
The 3D printers will allow students to design and build robots, print fossils, print organs and build models of biological concepts. Initially, the printers will be used to allow teachers and staff to familiarize themselves with the tool, then begin building lesson plans.
Eventually, the goal would be to incorporate the new technology into the science classes, according to the department.
