Oswego Man Arrested For Battery After Alleged Gas Station Assault
Police say their investigation is ongoing and are asking any witnesses to call the Oswego Police Department at 630-551-7300.

OSWEGO, IL — Thirty-one-year-old John S. Arrichiello was arrested for aggravated battery, a felony, early Monday morning after police in Oswego say he assaulted a gas station employee on Route 34.
The incident happened around 3 a.m., police said. According to a news release, Arrichiello had been talking with the employee for about 90 minutes inside the gas station. When the employee stepped outside, police say Arrichiello followed him and began punching him. The assault stopped when the employee managed to get back inside the gas station and lock the door.
Police say the employee was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Arrichiello was arrested at the scene and transported to the Kendall County Public Safety Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
