Oswego Man Killed in Shooting was a Psychology Professor
The victim was also a licenced professional counselor

Matthew Lange was an assistant professor of Psychology at Lewis University in Romeoville, according to the university website. Lewis is a Catholic university in Romeoville with about 6,500 students.
Lange earned his Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University in 2015. He had been a licensed professional counselor since June 2006, according to state records.
The 37-year-old from Oswego was shot and killed on Friday while he sat in his car at Scullen Middle School in Naperville. The Naperville Sun reported that Lange was picking up his son from the Helena Modjeska Polish School, which rents space at Scullen on Friday nights.

Lange was transported to Edward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
