Oswego Park District To Offer Socially-Distanced Visit With Santa
The Holiday Express will be held during Dec. 10-13 at Prairie Point Center with visits of up to 10-minute windows.
OSWEGO, IL — The Oswegoland Park District is making sure that Santa Claus gets to visit the village despite all the coronavirus restrictions in place. With that in mind, the district announced a socially-distanced Holiday Express during Dec. 10-13 at Prairie Point Center, 313 E. Washington St., with visits of up to 10-minute windows.
"The Oswegoland Park District has just received official word that while families are unable to travel to the North Pole this year, Santa will be taking the Holiday Express to Oswego," the park district said in a statement.
The event will feature friends of Santa Claus, cookies and hot cocoa from The Village Grind that's "as thick and rich as melted chocolate bars." Families will also have the opportunity to take a safe and socially-distanced photograph with Santa Claus during the Holiday Express.

"Christmas is just around the corner, and Santa has set aside some special time to talk with the children of the Oswegoland area," the district said. "He wants to hear how your child's year has been, all of their Christmas wishes, and, most of all, to spread Christmas cheer."
Registration for this event closes on Dec.10. Confirmation emails with the survey will be emailed out on Dec. 11. Surveys must be completed no later than Dec. 14.
