Oswego Police Investigating Armed Robbery
The robbery took place on Tuesday, Jan. 28 shortly before 7:20 p.m. The police are offering up to $1000 for information on the suspects.

On Wednesday, January 28, 2020, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Oswego Police were dispatched to a business in the 1100 block of Douglas Road for an armed robbery. An employee reported that two males wearing masks, entered the business, displayed a weapon described as a long gun and took merchandise, cash and the employee’s vehicle keys and then fled the scene. The employee was not injured. The employee’s vehicle was located a short distance away unoccupied with an open door by responding officers. It was behind businesses towards the north end of the Mason Square Shopping Center.

Witnesses reported last seeing the subjects on foot heading northbound behind the businesses. Oswego Police immediately began searching for the suspects with assistance from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery Police Department. A canine search was conducted, and a drone was deployed to aid in searching for the suspects however police did not locate the suspects. The value of the merchandise is still being determined.
The two suspects are described as males, one black with a medium build, wearing a blue hoodie, sunglasses and a black bandana covering his face. The other male was of unknown race, approximately six feet tall, medium build wearing a black hoodie with a white print on the left sleeve from shoulder to wrist and dark pants.

The Oswego Police Department is asking anyone who may have information to contact them at 630-551- 7300. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to Kendall Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999, where tips leading to arrests may receive a cash reward of up to $1000.00
