Oswego Store Loses $800 In Clothes After Theft, Police Say

Two women are sought in the theft from a store in the 2700 block of Route 34.

OSWEGO, IL — Two women are sought in the theft of nearly $800 worth of clothes from an Oswego store, according to police. The theft happened in a prominent strip mall Tuesday.

At about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, the two women allegedly walked into a store in the 2700 block of Route 34 and made off with $794 in "apparel," Oswego Police said in an incident report. Police did not say at which store the theft occurred. The 2700 block of U.S. 34 includes a Hobby Lobby, Burlington Coat Factory, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kohl's and Ulta Beauty, among other retailers.

The suspects in the case are described as two black women, both aged in their 20's, police said. One woman is said to stand 5-foot-5 and weigh about 125 pounds while the other stands 5-foot-6 and weighs about 175 pounds. The incident is still under investigation, police said.
