Oswego Structure Fire Causes $100,000 In Damages
The Oswego Fire Protection District said it took six fire companies and 16 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
OSWEGO, IL — A press release from the Oswego Fire Protection District stated that a severe structure fire took place in the village's Churchill Subdivision on Saturday, Feb. 15. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the blaze in the 300 block of Bluegrass Parkway at approximately 5:55 p.m.
The release said that firefighters arrived on the scene to see heavy flames in a residence's attached garage. It reportedly took six fire companies and 16 firefighters to finally bring the fire under control. During the incident, firefighters from both Sugar Grove and Naperville Fire Departments provided station coverage.
Though the release did not specify the precise cause of the fire, it said the cause was not suspicious in nature. Initial estimates put the total amount of damage to the residence at about $100,000.

All occupants of the residence evacuated the building before initial fire companies arrived. There were no deaths or injuries reported from the scene.
