Oswego Woman Hospitalized In Single-Car Crash: Oswego Police

The 35-year-old driver was taken to Copley Hospital for her injuries, after her car collided with a traffic pole.

OSWEGO, IL — According to a report filed by the Oswego Police on Friday, Jan. 10, a local woman has been hospitalized after her car crashed into a roadside traffic pole.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. The police observed a vehicle - an SUV - colliding with a traffic pole on Route 31 at the intersection with Mill Road. The 35-year-old driver, an Oswego resident, received minor injuries. Medical personnel took her to Copley Memorial Hospital on Ogden Avenue for treatment.

"[The SUV] was at E/B Mill traffic signal and upon receiving green light was observed to crash head on into the traffic signal on the northeast corner of Mill and Rt 31," Oswego PD Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara said.

The police did not indicate if the driver will be facing any charges, but Nevara said that she showed no signs of impairment.
