ALL proceeds will benefit the Vietnam Moving Wall – Oswego 2017 event that is coming to Oswego in June 2017. The Moving Wall, a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington DC, was created in 1984 by two Vietnam Veterans, John Devitt & Gerry Haver, who felt traveling to Washington DC might be too difficult for some. These men wanted to make sure everyone would be able to see and appreciate the veterans who gave their all during the Vietnam War. The Moving Wall will travel to Oswego and be on display from June 29 to July 3, 2017, at Prairie Point Community Park, 4120 Plainfield Road.
The Oswego Police Department Explorers Post 3525 and Kiwanis of Oswego are proud to be hosting this event and are hoping that the public will come out to support and honor the service and great sacrifice made by these men and women."
