Possible Burglary At Diamond Senior Apartments: Oswego PD

Police reported Thursday that they are investigating a possible burglary of $80 at the apartment complex.

OSWEGO, IL — According to a press release sent out by the Oswego Police Department on Thursday, investigators are currently looking into a possible burglary at the Diamond Senior Apartment complex at 3350 White Oak Drive. The press release states that the incident was reported at 6:41 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, with the incident suspected to have taken place some time earlier that day.

The Diamond Senior Apartments in Oswego are part of a regional chain of senior citizen living facilities; there are also Diamond apartments in Princeton, IL and Dubuque, IA.

According to Oswego PD Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara, $80 was taken from a resident's room at the apartment complex. There were no signs of forced entry.

"The person reported that $80 was missing from her apartment... there's no signs of forced entry," Nevara said. "[The police] are still investigating."

As investigators are still looking into the incident, many details regarding what happened are not yet available. Patch contacted the apartment complex several times in the hopes of speaking with staff or the affected resident herself, but has not yet received a response.
