Punch-Up In Parking Lot: Oswego Police Investigating

Oswego Police reported this week that they are currently looking into reports of a battery committed in the Jewel-Osco parking lot.

OSWEGO, IL - The police reported Monday that they are looking into reports of a battery committed in the parking lot of Jewel-Osco on Route 30. The incident occurred sometime on Monday afternoon, with the victim being a 39-year-old Montgomery man. It apparently started over an argument about another man's driving.

"We took a report from a male victim alleging that he got into an argument with an unknown male over the unknown male’s driving actions," Oswego PD Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara said, "who punched the victim in the face."

The 'unknown male' who instigated the fisticuffs was described by the victim as a man in his 50s with a long white beard. After the tussle with the younger Montgomery man, he was said to have left the scene in a Dodge Ram.
