Senior Citizen Hospitalized After Getting Hit By Car: Oswego PD

The senior was sent to an area hospital for treatment after sustaining non-life threatening injuries from the crash, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — An Oswego senior citizen was sent to the hospital on Saturday, Feb. 15 after getting hit by a car on Prairieview Drive, an Oswego Police report said. The 64-year-old was reportedly walking northeast on Prairieview when a car struck her while she was in the roadway. The incident occurred shortly after noon, and just southwest of the intersection with Dorchester Court, the report said.

The struck senior sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to an area hospital by emergency personnel. The 49-year-old driver who struck her, an Oswego woman, was uninjured in the crash.

The report did not indicate if any charges are pending against the driver.
