'Serious' Crash Closes Several Oswego Township Roads: Sheriff

OSWEGO, IL — A "serious" crash occurred Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Plainfield Road and Schlapp Road in Oswego Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were on the scene as of 4:43 p.m., according to an alert asking drivers to avoid the area.

Aerial footage from ABC7 shows a semi blocking the road and a heavily damaged car in a grassy section off the intersection.

Officials said the crash is also blocking Simons Road. The resulting closures are on Plainfield Road from Collins to Douglas roads, Schlapp Road between Cherry and Plainfield roads, and Simons Road between Plainfield and Douglas roads.
