Sex Offender Verification Check Finds 1 Person Potentially In Violation: Kendall Sheriff
Investigators from seven agencies, including the Plainfield and Oswego police departments, conducted compliance checks on 114 offenders.
OSWEGO, IL — One sex offender might be in violation of a registration act after investigators from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and other agencies conducted sex offender verification checks, officials said.
Investigators from seven police agencies conducted compliance checks on 114 offenders, making contact with 58 of them, officials said on Oct. 24.
A criminal investigation was launched to determine if one person was possibly violating the Sex Offender Registration Act or the Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act. Officials also served one warrant to Kevin Todd, a 48-year-old Newark man, for failure to appear in court for a violation of Sex Offender Registration requirements.

"The Sheriff's Office remains fully committed to the safety of all Kendall County residents," Undersheriff Bobby Richardson said in a statement. "As part of that commitment, we regularly conduct compliance checks on registered offenders to ensure they are adhering to state law. Initiatives like this are made possible through the strong partnerships we've built with our local and federal law enforcement agencies, which greatly enhance the effectiveness of our efforts."
Agencies that joined the Kendall County Sheriff's Office in the verification included the Yorkville Police Department, Plano Police Department, Plainfield Police Department, Montgomery Police Department, Joliet Police Department and United States Marshals Service.
