Suspect In Fatal Oswego Stabbing Claimed Judge, Officers 'Were Killing Him': Report
The 19-year-old Kankakee man accused of stabbing two men, one fatally, at a Chick-fil-A had an outburst during his first court appearance.

OSWEGO, IL — The murder suspect in the fatal stabbing at a Chick-fil-A in Oswego had an outburst during his first appearance in Kendall County court, according to a report from WSPY News.
Darryl Lee Jr., 19, is accused of killing a delivery driver, the 52-year-old Tracey J. Land, inside the fast-food restaurant on Route 34 around 3:10 a.m. Oct. 22 and stabbing a maintenance worker outside the diner almost two hours later, Oswego police said.
Despite his injuries, the 20-year-old worker subdued Lee with help from his mother, who was on site working with him, Patch reported.

Lee, of the 1400 block of South Third Avenue in Kankakee, is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, concealment of a homicidal death, aggravated battery and armed robbery.

On Friday afternoon, the Kankakee man appeared before Judge John McAdams. He remarked toward the judge and officers in the room that they "were killing him," WSPY News reported. McAdams ordered him removed from the room after he continued shouting. The defendant returned after about 40 minutes, and his public defender informed the judge that Lee agreed to a pre-trial detention petition, according to the report.

Lee's next court date is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday.
