Three More Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Kendall County

There are now eight confirmed cases of the virus in the county, but thus far no confirmed deaths.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Three more local cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed by the Kendall County Health Department on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to eight as of March 26. The afflicted individuals are a man in his thirties and two women; one in her 40s and one in her 50s. The exact identities and residences of these individuals have been withheld due to HIPAA concerns.

The man in his 30s is the youngest individual in the county thus far to test positive for the virus, and there are not yet any confirmed coronavirus deaths. The county health department, along with numerous fire departments throughout the county, continue to urge residents to take steps to ensure their own safety amid this crisis. This means to wash hands often, regularly sanitize high-use surfaces, stay at home whenever possible, practice social distancing, and avoid anyone that exhibits signs of illness. If you think you have coronavirus, you are urged to call ahead to your doctor or hospital before going in person.

The eight cases of coronavirus in Kendall County are, as of the latest count, among 1,870 confirmed cases in Illinois and 69,648 cases in the U.S. On Wednesday night, an additional eight coronavirus cases and one coronavirus-related death were reported in Aurora.
