Three Senior Citizens Injured In Crash: Oswego Police
A two-car crash in Oswego on Feb. 6 injured both drivers and a passenger, all elderly. Police said their injuries were not life-threatening.
OSWEGO, IL — An incident report put out by the Oswego Police on Monday, Feb. 10 said that a two-car crash on Thursday, Feb. 6 resulted in three senior citizens sustaining injuries. The crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Route 30 and Goodwin Drive.
According to the report, a 70-year-old man was driving a pick-up truck with a 72-year-old woman in the passenger seat on Route 30. As they passed through the intersection with Goodwin Drive, a 65-year-old woman driving a sedan hit them. All three people were Montgomery residents; all three sustained injuries in the crash.
The intersection was closed for about a half hour while police cleared the crash scene, Oswego Police Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara said. All three were taken to area hospitals for treatment, but Nevara said none of their injuries were life-threatening.

The vehicles were not so lucky. Initial police estimates put the total amount of damage the two cars suffered at more than $1500.
The report did not say whether any charges are being levied against anyone involved in the crash.
