Training Planned For Oswego Fire Protection District
The training will be conducted at 65 W. Washington St. in downtown Oswego.
OSWEGO, IL--To help equip members of the Oswego Fire Protection District with the skills they need, training is scheduled to take place at 65 W. Washington St. in downtown Oswego from May 6 through May 16. The 10-day training, by design, aims to provide Oswego Fire personnel with a simulated view of real world situations.
The fire protection district does not intend to have live fire evolutions, but use theatrical smoke.
Authorities said those in the area may notice white smoke coming from the building.

The village of Oswego has donated the house in question to the fire district for training purposes prior to the house being demolished, officials said.
Oswego Fire personnel will be tasked with training on various skills such as search and rescue, overhaul, ventilation and hose management.
