Car vs. deer

Oswego police responded to an accident of a car vs. deer that occurred at 12:26 a.m. at Route 71 and 500 feet east of Orchard Road. The driver was not reported with injuries and damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,500.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at 12:50 a.m. in the 2000 block of Farmington Lakes Drive. The offender entered an unlocked car and took a cylinder of nitrous, valued at $335.

Michael S. Schaefer, 25, of the 0-99 block of Scheffield Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Chicago Road and charged with the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license

Carmen Adame, 26, of the 1100 block of Talman Street, Aurora, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. at Douglas and Old Post and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Sunday, June 16

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. in the 100 block of East Tulip. The victim reported her wallet was taken from her purse after she had guests over.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Oswego police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at an unknown time in the 300 block of Beaver Crossing. Someone broke a window of a vehicle and took an Apple iPod valued at $150 that was inside.

Saturday, June 15

Domestic battery

Paul D. Roush, 51, of the 200 block of Madison, Oswego, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. at his residence and charged with two counts of domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

Crystian N. Portillo-Sanchez, 20, of the 400 block of Seminary Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at Route 34 and Pearces Ford and charged with retail theft of $406, said Oswego police.

Friday, June 14

Retail theft

Brian A. King, 22, of the 13500 block of Church Road, Minooka, was arrested at 2:56 p.m. in the 2600 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft of  $175, said Oswego police.

Thursday, June 13

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run accident that occurred at 7:20 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34. Damage is estimated at $800.

Car in creek

Oswego police responded to an accident in which an older woman struck a trench in the 600 block of Pearces Ford at 6:13 p.m. and drove into Waubonsee Creek. The victim was reported with no injures and declined to go to the hospital. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at over $1,500.

Driving on revoked license

Stephen Angerman, 45, of the 100 block of Wrenwood, Elgin, was arrested at 1 p.m. at Route 34 and Douglas Road and charged for driving on a revoked license, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, June 12

Possession of controlled substance

Sherry K. Pounds, 43, of the 300 block of Tallgrass Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. at Route 34 and Boulder Hill Pass and charged with the possession of a controlled substance, said Oswego police. She was also cited for driving on a suspended license, failure to signal and having no insurance.
