Weekend Oswego Police Blotter Dec 14 Thru 17

DUIs, a stolen car and a 19-year-old hitting a light pole- check out the weekend's police reports.

OSWEGO, IL — A rogue brick mailbox offender, a vehicle theft, and DUIs. The Oswego Police Department filed the following police reports for Dec. 14 - 17. All suspects are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in the court of law.

Someone knocked over a brick mailbox at the 400 block of Terrace Lane Dec. 14. The police report said under $500 worth of damage was done.

A 19-year-old Oswego man hit a light pole Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. on Millstream Lane between Washington Street and Taft Drive, police said.

Rafael Ramirez, 50, of the 1900 Block of Weston Avenue in Yorkville, was arrested Dec. 16 at 12:52 a.m., a police report said. He was charged with a DUI with blood alcohol content of .08 or higher, speeding, improper lane usage and no proof of insurance, according to the report.

Police said Gustavo Guterrez-Aguilar, 30, of Raul Lot 68 in Aurora, was arrested Dec. 17 for a DUI, according to records. He was pulled over near Route 30 and Douglas Road and detained at Oswego Police Department, police said.

Police took a report about a theft of a vehicle from the 300 block of Judith Circle Dec. 16 around 11:15 p.m.
A boy, who was unnamed in the report, was arrested on a juvenile warrant and charged with resisting a police officer Dec. 16 at 10:29 p.m. in Hudson Crossing Park.

Ashley L. Szymski, 44, of the 2300 block of Georgetown Circle in Aurora, was arrested Dec. 17 at 2:44 a.m. at the corner of Wolf’s Crossing Road and Route 30. The police report said she was charged with a DUI, driving in the wrong lane, disobeying a red light, improper parking on roadway, impeding flow of traffic, and no proof of insurance.
