Where To Find Cooling Centers In Kendall County: Extreme Heat Watch Issued

Here's where to stay cool if you find yourself without air conditioning amid the sweltering weather forecast continuing throughout the week.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Unbearable heat is about to return to Kendall County this week, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service issued an extreme heat watch for more than a dozen counties in northern Illinois, including Kendall, that will be in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday evening. The peak heat index value during that timeframe will be 115 degrees, Patch reported.

Monday will be the most pleasant day of the week with a high of 84 degrees, and humidity will start to build on Tuesday, which will have a high of 87. The high for Wednesday and Thursday will be 98.
