Wine Off The Fox Benefit Returns To Downtown Oswego For 2nd Year
The Village of Oswego's event was so popular in its inaugural year that organizers added a second day.
OSWEGO, IL — Wine Off The Fox, a wine tasting and benefit concert, is returning for the second year. But unlike last year, when the event took place on a Saturday in October, it will span two days — Sept. 1-2.
The event was so popular last year that organizers decided to add a second day, according to Village President Ryan Kauffman. Wine Off The Fox will take place from 5-8:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and from 2-7:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at Venue 1012, 1012 Station Drive.
"Not only does Wine Off the Fox bring our community together to enjoy wine tasting and live music, it helps raise awareness and funds for breast cancer," Village President Ryan Kauffman said in a statement.

The event was planned as a way to promote breast cancer awareness, so a portion of each ticket sold will support Rush Copley/Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, Edward Foundation Breast Program Fund and the American Cancer Society. A silent auction will help raise additional funds for the organizations.
Attendees will have the chance to sample from a variety of more than 20 wines from local, regional and international wineries as well as craft beer. Food vendors will be on-site, but event-goers are also invited to bring picnics — but no outside beverages.

Three women-fronted bands will perform during the two days: The PriSSillas on Sept. 1 followed by Serendipity and headliner The Jersey Girls on Sept. 2.
