Wine On The Fox, Movies Under The Stars: Oswego Summer Events Planned

OSWEGO, IL — As the weather starts to warm and perennial plants begin peeking out of the ground, it's a good time to start looking forward to summer events planned in Oswego.

In anticipation, the village announced the dates for Wine on the Fox and Venue 1012's Summer Event Series. The beloved wine-tasting festival is planned for May 3-4, while the outdoor venue will begin hosting events June 5 through Sept. 6.

This May's Wine on the Fox will mark the event's 19th iteration. Open to all ages, the festival features live music, food trucks and more than 100 wine selections from Illinois wineries at Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison St.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Only bottled water and children's drinks are acceptable outside beverages. Guests are welcome to bring their own food.

Entrance to the festival is free, but those wanting to sample wine and craft beer must purchase tickets, which are for sale as of Wednesday on the event's website.

Venue 1012 events, some free and others ticketed, will kick off a month after Wine on the Fox. Food vendors will be on-site, and a beverage tent will be available for beer, wine, soda and bottled water purchases.

Admission to all ticketed events is free for veterans, active military and children under 17.
