Woman And Dog Fall Through Ice; Dog Still Missing: Fire District
The woman followed her dog onto the ice when it broke and they both fell into the water. She was rescued by Oswego police and treated.
OSWEGO, IL — A woman and her dog fell through ice in Oswego Monday, the Oswego Fire Protection District said.
Officers responded to the area of Bridgeview Drive around 10 a.m. where the woman had followed her dog onto the ice. The ice broke and both fell into the water, the district said.
When the fire crews arrived, the woman had already been rescued by the Oswego police and a nearby resident. She was treated by paramedics on the scene. However, fire officials were unable to find the dog, the district said.
