Palos Hills Friendship Fest Hosts Odor Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest

Palos Hills Friendship Fest at 109th & 88th Ave. to host the  National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest, sponsored by Blistex, Inc.

Do your child’s shoes smell like a garbage dump on a hot day? Did the shoes they brought home on the last day of school look like they were used on an infomercial for a meat grinder? 

If the answer is yes then they are the perfect condition for the Odor Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest to be held at Palos Hills Friendship Festival, Saturday, July 14th at 3:00 pm.

In its 37th year the contest is the ultimate test of just how offensive sneakers can get when they're not taken care of properly. 

Kids from 5 to 15 years old may enter their own naturally owned sneakers

Shoes will be judged on the conditions of the sole, tongue, heel, toe, laces or Velcro, eyelets/grommets, overall condition and most important ODOR, by a panel of judges.

Contestants are limited to 15 so register now

Prize: The contestant with the Rottenest Sneakers at Palos Hills Friendship Fest will win a cash prize along with a Golden Sneaker award and a basket of Odor Eaters products. The winner will potentially advance to the National competition held in Vermont each year
