Car Wash Benefits Conrady Junior High Music Students

The car wash on Saturday will allow area junior high school students to attend a Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance and choir festival.

HICKORY HILLS, IL — Palos-area residents in need of a carwash can get one on Saturday while also helping to assist middle school music students at a local junior high.

The Conrady Junior High Music Department will host the annual benefit car wash, which will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. The car wash will take place at the school, which is located at 7950 W. 97th St. in Hickory Hills.

Residents can get their cars washed for $5, while SUV owners can get their vehicles washed by students for $7. There is a discount for police and fire vehicles, which students will wash for $3, organizers said.

All proceeds from the car wash will benefit the school’s choir and band students. Funds will be used to send band students to a performance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and will be used to send the Conrady Junior High choir to a music festival at 6 Flags Great America.
