Palos East Elementary School’s student council recently assembled treat bags as part of their pre-holiday community service project. Student Council advisor Cathy Casey said that the bags will be donated to Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn before the holidays. Students volunteered to come in before the start of the school day to assemble the bags, eventually assembling 7 boxes worth for donation to the non-profit organization that provides support for families with children in pediatric hospitals.
