Classic Car Raffle Winners Collect Their Big Checks

At least a few of the audience members at the Palos Heights City Council meeting on August 2 had smiled on their faces.

The winners of last month's Classic Car Event raffle were on hand to pick up their winnings. The top prize of $15,000 went to Doug Johnson of Palos Hills. Johnson, who bought his ticket the night of the event, opted for $15,000 in cash instead of the 1976 Corvette that was this year's featured car.
