Couple Pinched in Heroin Raid Have Wedding Date in 2 Months

The jailed couple is supposed to get married Feb. 29 — if they can get out of jail in time.

PALOS PARK, IL — A man and woman arrested after the cops raided their home and charged them with possessing heroin are set to get married in less than two months.

Danita Morgan and Zachary Connor are to wed Feb. 29 at the Wayside Chapel in Palos Park. The reception is to follow at Vela’s Tap on East Cass Street in Joliet.

The bride, 39, and the groom, 27, are registered at Macy’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Bloomingdale’s, in case you want to pick them up a 14-cup programmable coffee maker or something for the big day.

But Morgan and Connor may want to ask for cash gifts ahead time, otherwise their big day might have to wait, as they are both being held at the Will County jail. Morgan needs $2,000 to get out and Connor has to come up with $5,000.

Morgan and Connor were arrested along with 26-year-old Morris resident Jonathon Kincade Wednesday night.

Braidwood cops armed with a search warrant raided the West Cermak Road home of Morgan and Connor. Kincade was there too and so was nearly six grams of heroin, numerous needles, bags containing heroin residue and vials of a mysterious substance that was sent to a crime lab for testing, police said.
