Police stopped Holmes in , according to reports. Holmes had a flask of liquor in his pocket and a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. The Robbins police chief failed field sobriety tests and was charged with two counts of DUI.

This is the second time Holmes has been arrested for DUI. The first incident happened in March 2010, also in Midlothian, where Holmes allegedly pulled into oncoming traffic.
