Facebook Marketplace Meetup Goes Bad, Ends In Theft Of Xbox

PALOS HILLS, IL — An arranged Facebook Marketplace meetup ended badly for the seller of an Xbox, Palos Hills police reports said.

Officers responded to a theft Nov. 30 in the 11000 block of Theresa Circle. According to the report, the seller advertised an Xbox for sale on Facebook Marketplace. They received an offer from a user named “Davion.”

The seller set up a meeting at their residence. Two men arrived in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee that had no registration, police said. The passenger in the vehicle exited, grabbed the Xbox and took off.
