Former Palos Hills Man Killed in Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion
Kevin Sanders is a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills, according to the Sun-Times Media.
Former Palos Hills resident Kevin Sanders was one of the first responders killed in last Wednesday’s fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, the Sun-Times Media reports.
Sanders, who used to belong to Sacred Heart Church, was working with West EMS and as a volunteer member of a nearby fire department when West Fertilizer Co. exploded.
Thirteen others were killed in the blast and over 200 are reported injured. Authorities say it may take months for a final report on the disaster.
