Justice Man's Loose Guns Were Improperly Transported In Vehicle: Palos Heights PD

The Palos Heights officer noticed a gun sticking out from underneath the driver's seat, reports said.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — The passenger of a vehicle stopped for multiple traffic violations was arrested after loose guns were found inside the vehicle, reports said. Abdulhadi K. Abu Khadeeja, 21, of Justice, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Just after 8:30 p.m. May 11, a Palos Heights police officer stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations near 119th Street and Harlem Avenue. When the officer approached the vehicle, he immediately noticed a handgun sticking out from under the front driver seat, police said.

During a search of the vehicle, police said two more loaded handguns were found under the driver’s and front passenger seats. The initial gun observed by the officer was a Glock replica BB gun.

Abu Khadeeja told the officer that both guns were his and produced a valid FOID card, according to the report. He was arrested and charged for not properly transporting the weapons in accordance with state gun laws.
