PALOS HILLS, IL — A “Hands Off Social Security” rally is planned for Friday, April 25, in the wake of the Department of Government Efficiency, a Trump Administrative initiative headed by billionaire Elon Musk, terminating Social Security office leases nationwide and other services.

Area residents are asked to gather outside the Social Security office at 10708 S. Roberts Road, at noon Friday. The rally is intended to show support for Social Security, which is designed to pay retired workers a continuing income after retirement, as an entity as well as the workers. The rally is expected to last until 2 p.m.

The “Hands Off Social Security” rally is one of many planned at local social security offices in 23 states. More information can be found on Facebook.
